3-star WR Nathan Leacock commits to Tennessee

Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook three-star wide receiver Nathan Leacock committed to Tennessee on Friday afternoon. The 6-foot-3, 195 pound wideout chose the Volunteers over Michigan, North Carolina and North Carolina State.

Leacock is the No. 590 overall prospect and the No. 88 wide receiver in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 19 player in North Carolina.

The wide receiver joins a Tennessee class currently ranked 10th in the 2023 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. He is the 20th commit in a group led by Long Beach (Calif.) Warren five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava.

Leacock is the second wide receiver in the Volunteers’ class alongside Franklin (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy three-star Nate Spillman. Other pass catchers in Tennessee’s 2023 recruiting class include Suwanee (Ga.) four-star tight end Ethan Davis.

He is also the only member of the Volunteers’ class from North Carolina.

Leacock took only one visit to Knoxville on June 24 for his official. Meanwhile, he visited North Carolina State five times unofficially, North Carolina once officially and Duke once unofficially.

Leacock has an On3 NIL Valuation of $15.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time..
