Tennessee offensive lineman Jeremiah Crawford went viral during last week’s game against Alabama when he threw up on the field and appeared to nod at Crimson Tide defenders. The clip made waves on social media almost immediately, and two former NFL offensive linemen shared their praise for the Vols left tackle.

Joe Thomas and Mitchell Schwartz of The 33rd Team celebrated Crawford for his actions as he helped the Volunteers to a thrilling 52-49 victory at Neyland Stadium. The two said they hadn’t seen anything like what Crawford did, but made sure to give credit where it was due.

“I’ve never seen anything where the puke is directed at somebody,” Schwartz said.

Thomas talked about the toughness of offensive linemen and even pitched some potential NIL deals for Crawford, who’s in his second year at Tennessee after transferring from junior college.

“This reminds me of something that we used to laugh about amongst our mentally insane offensive linemen,” Thomas said. “It was talking about how different our job and work environment is vs., like, the regular human beings that go out and go to an office every day. Can you imagine being celebrated at any other workplace if you would just throw up towards your opponent? What is the scenario where you don’t go to prison immediately or get thrown into an insane asylum for doing something like that? But yet, it’s celebrated on national television.

“This guy’s going to get NIL deals from Tums and Pepto Bismol and all the big ones — Procter and Gamble and companies — to help with his poor, upset tummy. … All publicity is good publicity because now he’s probably the most famous left tackle in college football.”

Tennessee lineman stares down Alabama defense while vomiting mid-huddle

In one of the wilder football moments caught on camera this weekend, a Tennessee lineman stared down Alabama‘s defense while vomiting. The strange moment took place while quarterback Hendon Hooker was receiving a play call from the sideline and senior Jeremiah Crawford felt himself ready to throw up on the field.

Crawford turned his head away from the huddle to quickly spew out a lot of gross liquid onto the field, and turned his eyes towards the only player who seemed to notice — Alabama’s Byron Young.

The hilarious moment seemed to catch Young’s reaction perfectly as well, with him looking right at Crawford as he vomited on the field. Crawford noticed him and proceeded to go full-football tough guy mode and nodded his head to show he was ready to go again. Young appeared to look to his side to see if anyone else saw the interaction, but neither player had time to continue as the huddle broke and they returned to the line of scrimmage.
