Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren three-star cornerback Cristian Conyer committed to Tennessee on July 3. On Sunday, he received a visit from Volunteers head coach Josh Heupel and defensive backs coach Willie Martinez.

Conyer is the No. 554 overall prospect and No. 56 cornerback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Kentucky.

On3 rates Conyer higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Conyer is the No. 54 cornerback in the country.

A 6-foot-1, 170-pound recruit, Conyer is one of three cornerbacks in Tennessee’s 2023 recruiting class. The others are Baton Rouge (La.) Woodlawn four-star Jordan Matthews and Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville four-star Rickey Gibson.

Tennessee’s class is currently No. 11 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 5 in the SEC. It is led by Long Beach (Calif.) Warren five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava.

Conyer has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7.2K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
