The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine is underway this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana and college football prospects from around the country are putting on a show. Unfortunately for former Tennessee offensive lineman Cade Mays, his combine performance has not gone as well as he would have liked. The former Volunteer ran his 40-time and he posted a 5.29 40-yard dash time.

Check it out below.

On his second 40-yard dash attempt, he ran an unofficial 5.30.

While his performance might not be as fast as he would have liked, Mays proved his worth the past few years on the field for the Volunteers, playing a variety of positions. He also stumbled a bit during the wave drill on Friday night.

Later in the night, the official 40-times were released. The fastest 40-time that Mays ran on Friday night was a 5.24, per his profile page on NFL.com.

The NFL Scouting Combine is just a piece of the scouting process. He’ll likely hope to rebound and post better numbers during the Tennessee Pro Day.
