Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins received an offer from Tennessee on Sunday. He announced the news over social media.

Collins is the No. 237 overall prospect and No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Arkansas.

On3 rates Collins higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 132 overall prospect, No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Arkansas.

The 6-foot-4, 257 pound prospect has received 14 offers. He has already taken unofficial visits this season to Arkansas, LSU and Ole Miss.

Tennessee currently has four prospects in its 2024 recruiting class. They are Franklin (Ga.) IMG Academy four-star athlete Jonathan Echols, Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley, Greenville (S.C.) Greenville four-star athlete Mazeo Bennett and Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School three-star defensive lineman Carson Gentle

What to know about Collins’ recruitment

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for his commitment. The Rebels are leading for his commitment at 36.6%, while the Razorbacks have the next-best odds for his pledge at 32%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Collins has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.4K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
