2024 4-star DL Champ Thompson offered by Texas A&M
2024 Norcross (Ga.) Meadowcreek four-star defensive lineman Champ Thompson received an offer from Texas A&M on Wednesday. He announced the news on social media.
Thompson is the No. 202 overall prospect and No. 15 defensive lineman in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 33 player in Georgia.
On3 rates him even higher. Per the 2024 On300, Thompson is the No. 104 overall prospect, No. 11 defensive lineman and No. 18 player in Georgia.
Thompson has 21 offers so far. Some of them are from top college football programs including Alabama, Clemson and Georgia.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Tigers are in the lead for Thompson’s commitment at 37.3%. But the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide aren’t far behind at 17.1% and 14.6%, respectively.

Thompson named a top 10 of Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia Tech. He announced this news last month.
Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains one commitment. It is Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans. He is the No. 168 overall prospect and No. 18 defensive lineman in the On300.
Meanwhile, the Aggies’ 2023 class is ranked No. 25 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 9 in the SEC. The group contains nine commitments and is composed of one five-star, five four-stars and three three-stars.
Thompson, a 6-foot-3, 250 pound prospect, has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
