Camden (N.J.) Winslow Township four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. He announced the news on Twitter.

Hornsby chose the Aggies over Penn State.

“The thing that stood out with Texas A&M over everyone was the support that I have out there,” Hornsby told Hayes Fawcett. “Although it is far from home I have teammates from my area that are out there and thriving right now. I know that when I get there they will be like my big brothers and lead me in the right direction. Also the relationship I have with the coaches all the way up to coach Jimbo is amazing.

“Coach Elijah and I are family and he’s been looking out for me ever since he started recruiting me. The offense is going to be amazing this year. I believe in everything coach Pettrino is doing with the offense. Texas A&M is going to be special and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

The 6-foot-1.5, 200-pounder is the No. 417 overall prospect and No. 72 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in New Jersey.

Hornsby is not ranked in the 2024 On300 but On3 ranks him as the No. 50 wide receiver in the country and No. 6 player in New Jersey

Hornsby’s decision comes a few weeks after he took an official to College Station on June 16. The trip back was his second of the year as he was on campus for the first time in late March.

With his pledge, Hornsby becomes the 15th commitment in Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class. The Aggies have been on a roll recruiting since June 14 with 10 of those 15 pledges coming during that time frame.

Their class ranks as the No. 14 class in the country and No. 6 in the SEC.

Jaylan Hornsby currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $39K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
