LSU transfer safety Denver Harris may not end up visiting Texas A&M this weekend after all, according to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports. It was previously reported that Harris, who began his career with the Aggies, was set to make a visit to College Station on Saturday as he considered a potential return.

However, Zenitz revealed that it is “now possible” that Harris “won’t end up visiting Texas A&M.” It’s unclear exactly what changed and whether he could still visit at a later date.

Harris played high school football at Galena Park (TX) North Shore, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 23 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Denver Harris made a minimal impact in his first year at Texas A&M as he appeared in only five games to finish with 14 tackles and three passes defended. This past year at LSU, he also played only five contests and had seven tackles with two pass breakups.

Texas A&M recently underwent a coaching change, potentially being the reason behind the duo looking to get back together. Newly hired Mike Elko was still in College Station during the 2022 recruiting cycle and was the defensive coordinator when Harris committed.

However, now that possibility again appears to be up in the air with the news that Harris may have changed his mind on the visit.
