Four-star running back Christian Clark of Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe High announced his commitment to Texas Thursday morning.

The 6-foot, 205 pounder chose the Longhorns over Georgia, Oregon, and Florida State.

Clark on why he chose Texas

“The relationship that I established with Coach Choice, Coach Sark and the staff. Choice’s energy is infectious. He has been to where I want to go and has proven that he knows how to develop Running Backs. My parents and I were able to spend 1 on 1 time with the staff of the Communications Department which is one of the top programs in the country. I was able to hang out with players like Jonathon Brooks, Ced Baxter and others. Hearing how they were able to adapt to college life was good to hear and the city of Austin is awesome. It just felt great overall.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Clark

“I have developed a great relationship with Coach Choice, Coach Sark, and the rest of the UT staff. Their plan for me is to develop me into the best person I can be off and the on the field. The offense they run will allow me to showcase my versatility with being able to catch the ball out the backfield, slot, and of course run the football.”

Clark ranks as the No. 268 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 20 running back and the No. 3 player in the state of Arizona.

The Arizona running back joins coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns’ top 45 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star wide receiver Freddie Dubose Jr., four-star cornerback Hunter Moddon, and others.

He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
