Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen four-star offensive tackle and Oregon commit Fox Crader is visiting Texas on April 7. It will mark his second trip in two days, as Crader is seeing Texas A&M on April 6.

Crader is the No. 289 overall prospect and No. 21 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Washington.

On3 rates Crader higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 72 overall prospect, No. 9 offensive tackle and No. 1 player in Washington.

“I’m still committed to Oregon, but I want to make sure that that’s the best decision for me and my family cause at the end of the day, that’s what really matters,” Crader told On3’s Chad Simmons on March 1.

The Longhorns and Aggies are not the only programs that the 6-foot-6, 245-pound recruit wants to visit. He is also interested in seeing Oklahoma, Alabama and Georgia in the coming weeks.

“They just won their second national championship in a row,” Crader said about the Bulldogs. “That catches your attention a little bit. They produce top draft picks very consistently, so that’s always been something that I’ve known.”

Crader is currently locked in with Oregon

However, Crader is still feeling good about his commitment to the Ducks, despite the departure of former offensive line coach Adrian Klemm. The two were close before Klemm left Eugene for the same position with the New England Patriots.

Crader shared with Simmons that he has already built a good bond with new offensive line coach A’lique Terry. He will be back in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game on April 29.

“He’s a great guy,” Crader said. “I can tell he has something special planned for the o-line and a lot of people think very highly of him. As a person, he’s great. We were chopping it up on the phone. He’s a funny guy.”

At the moment, Texas’ 2024 recruiting class contains no offensive tackles. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff currently have commitments from two players in Houston (Texas) Clear Lake four-star athlete Hunter Moddon and Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair three-star quarterback Trey Owens.

Last cycle, the Longhorns finished with the No. 3 class in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Big 12.
