Texas offers 2025 top 50 ATH Derick Smith
Selma (Ala.) Southside four-star athlete Derick Smith received an offer from Texas Tuesday. He announced the news on Twitter.
Smith is the No. 49 overall prospect and No. 3 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Alabama.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Smith holds eight Power Five offers.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Alabama as the slim favorite over several other schools to land a commitment from Smith at 22%.
