WATCH: Texas Five-Star Plus+ QB commit Arch Manning scores five total touchdowns in win
New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning is the top prospect in the 2023 cycle. The Texas commit showcased why in Newman’s 42-20 win over Reserve (La.) Riverside Academy.
According to Josh Preston, Manning competed 19 of his 22 passes for 221 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown in the third quarter.
On his first score of the night, Manning took a snap from near midfield and rolled to his right. While running, he threw a long pass downfield and connected with a receiver in the end zone. Following the touchdown, Manning fist-pumped in celebration.
Manning added another passing touchdown before halftime. He added his third score in the third quarter before notching a rushing touchdown in the red zone. He juked multiple defenders before crossing the goal line.
The five-star’s final passing touchdown came with just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter and made the score 35-13.
