2024 4-star EDGE Zina Umeozulu visiting Texas
Allen (Texas) four-star EDGE Zina Umeozulu is visiting Texas this weekend for the Longhorns’ regular-season finale against Baylor. He announced the news over social media.
Umeozulu is the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 6 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Texas.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass rusher has received 25 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment. Texas is currently in the lead at 33.9%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Umeozulu had a strong performance this season against Denton (Texas) Guyer. On3’s Sam Spiegelman gave feedback on the four-star’s play.
“2024 top-100 EDGE Zina Umeozulu was quietly in the box score, but the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder generated pressure routinely and drew the attention of Guyer’s protection up front,” Spiegelman wrote on Oct. 20. “He faced one of the nation’s best QB, Jackson Arnold, who fires out the ball quickly and decisively, limiting his impact. Umeozulu is raw with outstanding length and moves well in his frame. He flashed in glimpses off the edge and is intriguing nonetheless.”
Texas currently has three commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. They are Daingerfield (Texas) four-star wide receiver Aeryn Hampton, Houston (Texas) Clear Lake four-star athlete Hunter Moddon and Aledo (Texas) four-star cornerback Jaden Allen.
Umeozulu has an On3 NIL Valuation of $89K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
