Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge four-star running back Frankie Arthur has committed to UCF.

He chose the Knights over finalists Oregon and Missouri.

Arthur is the No. 227 overall prospect and No. 19 RB in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 41 player from Texas.

Arthur, the younger brother of longtime NFL running back great Adrian Peterson, becomes the 15th commit and sixth four-star in Gus Malzahn‘s class. He’s the second highest-ranked pledge for the Knights, behind only Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star tight end Kylan Fox. Running backs coach Kam Martin led UCF’s recruitment of the burner.

He joins Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star RB Stacy Gage as the tailbacks in the class. Arthur is only the second pledge in UCF’s class that does not hail from Florida or Georgia. As a junior for Oak Ridge, Arthur rushed 159 times for 1,445 yards and 18 touchdowns. He caught 19 passes for 250 yards and two scores. Arthur also participates in track and field and owns a personal best 10.71 100-meter time, which he recorded this spring.

Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star safety Jakob Gude, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star interior offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn Jr. and Melbourne (Fla.) Central Catholic four-star wide receiver DayDay Farmer help bolster the Knights’ top-35 class in the nation and No. 2 class in the Big 12, which is only behind Texas Tech.
