Former USC cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart has decided to sign an undrafted free agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz. During his career with the Trojans, he racked up 80 tackles, two interceptions, and seven pass deflections, while appearing in 32 games, with 19 of those being starts. Taylor-Stuart started 10 of 11 games in his final year with USC–racking up 39 tackles, one interception, and three pass breakups.

One of his best games came against the Oregon State Beavers in the 2021-2022 season, when he snatched an acrobatic interception in the end zone. Taylor-Stuart also racked up seven tackles against Notre Dame this season.

According to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2018 class, he was rated as a five-star prospect and the No. 26 overall player in America. Taylor-Stuart was named a first-team USA Today All-American following his senior year at the prestigious Helix High School (La Mesa, California). If the name of the school sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same high school that former Trojans’ legend Reggie Bush suited up for.

NFL Draft analyst Lance Zirlein gave his thoughts on Isaac Taylor-Stuart

Longtime NFL Draft expert Lance Zirlein gave his scouting report on Taylor-Stewart on NFL.com:

“Taylor-Stuart has all the traits found with top cornerbacks in the league, but he was simply too lost in coverage for chunks of last season. He gives away too much space inside the route from a variety of coverage schemes and needs to play with more urgent squeeze from the jump. He will be an impressive tester and has the size and length to harass throws if he’s in position. He lacks physicality as a run defender and is likely to be seen as a press-man corner. His traits make him worth a Day 3 flyer, but he won’t become a factor until he can better utilize his physical gifts in coverage.”
