Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage junior running back Mark Fletcher is the latest target for Lincoln Riley and the new coaching staff at USC.

The Trojans offered the No. 215 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2023 on Monday night.

Fletcher has a list of top seven schools. Fletcher announced his top schools list back on Dec. 1.

Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Miami and Penn State were the seven programs listed on that list.

Coincidently, Fletcher could look to consider the Trojans now that he holds an offer for multiple reasons. The American Heritage star is a teammate of four-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss.

Inniss was a former Oklahoma commit. He didn’t follow Riley to USC immediately, but the Trojans are in the race to land Inniss.

Fletcher also has also been looking for a program that knows how to use bigger running backs. He stands 6-foot-1, 225 pounds.

“I want to go to a school where they know how to use big backs,” Fletcher said in a recent interview with On3. “I’m a big back, but I can do a lot of things. I can catch the ball out of the backfield. I’m also a receiver. I want to go to a program that can make me the best me.”

USC has a successful history of big-backs. LenDale White was a key piece of the Trojans championship teams under Pete Carroll. Riley has also produced his fair share of big running back recently.

Kennedy Brooks led the Sooners in rushing in 2021 at 5-foot-11″ and 216 pounds. Trey Sermon led the Sooners the year before at 6-foot, 216 pounds.
