After the latest rankings updates from other recruiting services, Warner Robins (Ga.) EDGE Isaiah Gibson is now a five-star prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Gibson, a USC commit, is now the No. 28 overall prospect and is one of 32 five-star prospects in the class. He’s also now the top-ranked EDGE and No. 7 player in the Peach State.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder pledged to the Trojans on March 24 amidst his first visit to campus. He committed in head coach Lincoln Riley’s office the same day as Manchester (Ga.) five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry.

“The opportunities that USC has on and off the field were big, for sure,” Gibson told On3 upon his commitment. “It was my first time in California, and I like that they have my major [business real estate]. I feel like I could thrive inside and outside of football, and it was just the right decision.”

Gibson’s recruitment is not closed, however. Georgia was trending at one time and has not taken the foot off the gas since he committed to USC. Officials to the Bulldogs, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Ohio State and Oklahoma are all currently in the cards.

“I would say I’m committed, but I’m not going to lower my options,” Gibson said earlier this month. “I feel like you’ve got to keep your options open because anything can happen. You never know — a coaching staff might leave, a coaching staff might come. In college football, coaching staffs can change every year. That’s really the reason I’m keeping my options open.”

Gibson is now one of three five-stars committed to the Trojans, as of May 22. Terry is the No. 8 overall prospect in the class, while Carrollton (Ga.) quarterback Julian Lewis checks in at No. 10 overall and No. 2 under center. USC and Ohio State are the only programs with three five-stars in the fold.

Isaiah Gibson Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this of Gibson as a prospect:

Isaiah Gibson is a complete monster and physical freak. Gibson is a broad-shouldered 6-foot-4, 240 pounds with an absolutely absurd 7-foot wingspan. Gibson’s length for his height is genuinely incredible and it allows him to consistently initiate contact by striking his opponents first and keeping them at a distance which allows him to essentially displace blockers with minimal resistance. Combine his length with his tremendous movement skills and you have a disgustingly high upside prospect at the EDGE position. During the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season he flashed fluidity and loose hips when turning the corner and working through individual position drills. When you turn the film on you see an explosive rusher whose motor allows him to constantly apply pressure to opposing offenses.”
