Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany wide receiver Kevin Green has decommitted from USC, he announced Tuesday afternoon.

Green is the No. 517 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 82 wide receiver and the No. 36 prospect in California.

“Officially opening my recruitment!” Green wrote in a tweet announcing the news. His decommitment comes just days after the Trojans announced Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley would be taking the same position at USC.

Green is the second wide receiver to decommit from USC since Riley took over, joining three-star Caleb Douglas. Riley and Co. have already made an in-home visit to Oklahoma commit Raleek Brown, who lives just an hour from USC’s campus. And his high school teammate, C.J. Williams is another major wide receiver target for the Trojans from California.

Brown is ranked as the nation’s No. 55 prospect and No. 5 receiver, while Williams checks in as the No. 115 prospect and No. 19 wideout.

With Kevin Green’s decommitment, USC now has just six players pledged for the 2022 recruiting cycle with just over two weeks until the early signing period. The Trojans’ class currently ranks No. 49 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
