USC guard Oziyah Sellers plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from The Athletic.

Sellers was a sophomore this season for the Trojans, averaging 5.2 points. He saw just 14.3 minutes per game.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pound guard is a former high-profile recruit, though he hasn’t quite lived up to that billing just yet at the college level.

Sellers was a three-star prospect but was rated as the No. 143 overall player in the nation in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 21 shooting guard in his class and the No. 18 overall player from the state of California, hailing from Castaic (CA) Southern California Academy.

Kijani Wright also enters the transfer portal

In addition to Oziyah Sellers hitting the transfer portal, fellow teammate Kijani Wright also opted to seek greener pastures following the season.

Wright averaged 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game for the Trojans this season. A sophomore, Wright has appeared in 57 games for USC over the last two seasons but never cracked the starting rotation.

During his sophomore season, Wright tallied two games scoring in double figures off the bench. Once against Eastern Washington on Nov. 29 and again on Feb. 3 against Oregon State, scoring 12 points in both outings. The Trojans were 2-0 when Wright scored 10 or more points.

As a freshman, more than half of his 53 rebounds (27) were offensive rebounds — which is a statistic that could make him attractive to other power conference suitors. Although, taking a mid-major route and potentially dominating at that level right away in 2024. He has several options to choose from at this point in his collegiate career.

Before USC, Wright was a 2022 McDonald’s All-American, while also winning a gold medal while starting all six games for Team USA at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championships.

His success gained him a former four-star rating out of high school, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. Playing at Windward School in Los Angeles, he transferred to west-coast powerhouse Sierra Canyon for his senior season where he finished the 2022 recruiting cycle as the No. 8 power forward and No. 53 player overall.
