Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County three-star cornerback Caleb Coley decommitted Monday from Vanderbilt, according to 247 Sports.

Coley had been committed to the Commodores since July. He is the No. 605 overall recruit in the 2022 On3 Consensus.

Coley went on summer visits to Michigan State, Northwestern and Wisconsin. Auburn is known to have an interest in Coley.

Caleb Coley’s decommitment is a huge loss for Vanderbilt

Coley was the Commodores third-highest rated recruit behind Nashville CPA three-star defensive lineman Langston Patterson and Rabun Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School four-star linebacker Darren Agu.

Vanderbilt had the No. 48 recruiting class before Coley’s decommitment. They dropped to No. 51 following the announcement.

He is the second decommitment from the Commordoes in the past month after Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School three-star athlete Kenzy Paul.

Vanderbilt now has two cornerback commits in Atlanta Hapeville Charter three-star Quantaves Gaskins and Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard three-star Steven Sannieniola.

Vanderbilt also lost a highly-touted freshman to the transfer portal

Monday was not a good day for the Commodores.

On3’s Matt Zenitz reported earlier in the day that Vanderbilt defensive lineman Marcus Bradley entered the transfer portal.

Bradley was rated a four-star recruit by both On3 and the On3 Consensus. In the latter, he slotted in as the No. 218 recruit. He was far and away the top recruit in the 2021 recruiting class for Vanderbilt. The second-highest prospect of the group was Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star wideout Quincy Skinner Jr. Skinner was the No. 562 recruit in the On3 Consensus.

The Commodores recruiting class was ranked No. 58 in the country las cycle.
