Virginia offered 2024 Melbourne (Fla.) Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy wide receiver Ric’Darious Farmer on Wednesday.

Farmer has 13 offers through the middle of his sophomore high school season, including Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Miami, Missouri, Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

Ric’Darious Farmer had 49 catches for 700 yards and eight touchdowns and also made 30 tackles and three interceptions on defense last season. It was his first season playing as a wide receiver.

Farmer told the Viera Voice in June that his goal is be the next five-star recruit out of Brevard County.

“I’m going to make it happen,” Farmer said.

Farmer is not the first player to receive an offer from Virginia, or even the first wide receiver.

Ric’Darious Farmer is the ninth wideout prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle to receive and offer from the Cavaliers.

Four of those wideouts are in-state recruits: Virginia Beach (Va.) Green Run teammates Keylen Adams and Tasean Young-Stieff, Cheaspeake (Va.) Oscar Smith Jamauri Knox and King George (Va.) High Chanz Wiggins.

Virginia has also offered Terrell Anderson and Alex Taylor, teammates from Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley.

With the Ric’Darious Farmer offer, Virginia has extended 27 offers in the 2024 cycle to players at all positions so far.
