2022 Hall of Fame game matchup, date, time announced

The Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars will take the field for the 2022 Hall of Fame Game at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 4, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Monday. The game, as always, will take place in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which is adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The game will kickoff the 103rd annual NFL season.

This year’s Hall of Fame Game will be the debut for Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels. This game will be especially excited for McDaniels, a Canton native, who played his home high school football games at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium back when the facility was known as Fawcett Stadium. This will also be the debut for Jaguars coach Doug Pederson, who is best known for his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, who guided them to a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Former Raiders standouts Cliff Branch and Richard Seymour are both set to be enshrined two days later along with Jaguars all-time great Tony Boselli in the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2022, which makes it perfect for two of their former teams to also be headed for Canton, Ohio.

Tickets for the 2022 Hall of Fame Game go on sale at 10 a.m. ET Friday, March 4. Fans can learn more about the matchup and purchase tickets at: www.profootballhof.com/tickets. Information regarding tickets for the Class of 2022’s Enshrinement will be available in the coming weeks, accoridng to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
