Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb were connecting on everything on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. They two linked up six times, going for 94 yards, and two touchdowns.

After one of their touchdowns, Prescott was on the receiving end of something from Lamb — a headbutt. The only issue? The quarterback had taken off his helmet, while Lamb still had his on.

Prescott got a cut on his right cheek and began to bleed. He knew he was going to be ok and began to joke around with Lamb and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

“I may have a black eye, but I am going to be alright,” Prescott said. He went on to say Lamb was “trying to give me a concussion out here” laughing off the incident. You can check the full audio out here.

After the game, Prescott was asked about the cut under his eye, with some wondering if it came when he ran a touchdown into the endzone. He denied those rumors, confirming Lamb inflected the friendly fire.

“Yeah, after the second touchdown to CeeDee (Lamb),” Prescott said. “I come off the field, put my helmet down, and then I see CeeDee coming past me so I give him a hug and tell him ‘good job’ but I guess he thinks I have my helmet on. So he leans in to do the helmet tap. Face mask to cheek but I am alright, I’m alright. I’m tough, I told you that, I’m tough.”

The connection between the two goes past helmet and cheek. Lamb leads the Cowboys with 47 receptions, 726 yards, and six touchdowns. Every since Dallas selected the Oklahoma receiver with the No. 17 pick in the 2020 NFL draft, the offense has been taken to a whole new level. The 7-2 record and top spot in the NFC East show for it as well.
