The Dallas Cowboys have the opportunity to clinch the NFC East at home on Sunday, with division rivals the Washington Football Team coming into town. It will be the second time the two have met in the space of three weeks, with Dallas coming out on top in the first.

Ahead of the game, the Cowboys released the injury report, with only one player not participating in practice on Wednesday. Starting left tackle Tyron Smith, who is dealing with an ankle injury, was DNP. He missed last week’s game against the New York Giants as well.

Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, running back Tony Pollard, and running back Corey Clement were all limited.

Lawrence missed an extended period of time with a foot injury, returning in the first matchup against Washington. He has added to the Cowboys’ already-dominant front seven group, headlined by Randy Gregory and Micah Parsons.

As for the running backs, both Pollard and Clement were limited due to foot and toe injuries respectively. Both were active for Sunday’s game against the Giants and are expected to be available for this upcoming week.

The only player listed as a full participant was running back Ezekiel Elliot. He has been dealing with a knee injury all season but has continued to push through as Dallas tries to reestablish their run game.

Here is the injury report from the Washington Football Team.

Did not practice: S Landon Collins (foot), RB Antonio Gibson (toe), CB William Jackson (calf), DE Daniel Wise (knee)

Limited participation: LB Jamin Davis (shoulder), WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring), DE James Smith-Williams (illness)

Full participation: WR Adam Humphries (ribs)

Dallas Cowboys assistant enters COVID-19 protocols

For the second consecutive day, a Dallas Cowboys assistant coach has entered COVID-19 protocols. The team announced defensive line coach Aden Durde tested positive on Tuesday, following special teams assistant coach Matt Daniels.

The virus has been running through the defensive line room, with Trysten Hill and Osa Odighizuwa testing positive before Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. Now, their position coach will be out for a few days along with them.

Heading into a crucial matchup against the Washington Football Team on Sunday Night Football, the defensive line has been the anchor of the Dallas defense thus far. Odighizuwa, a rookie out of UCLA, has been a surprise player for the Cowboys, alongside the likes of Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory. At times, rookie linebacker Micah Parsons has been involved as well.
