Many around the Packers organization have been answering questions all week about quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and star wideout Davante Adams is no exception. On Friday at the Packers’ press conference, Adams replied to questions on how he felt about Rodgers’ vaccination status.

“Grow man,” Adams said to start off his answer. “Everybody — it’s bigger than football man, it’s just people’s lives that they got to figure out what they’re comfortable with. You know there’s religion and all different types of things that go into it. So any questions for Aaron and his vaccination status is better off left to when he talks you guys.

“But I’m pro choice for whoever. You know you figure out what you want to do. It’s bigger than just about winning games that’s all I say. At the end of the day everybody’s a grown man they can make the decision. If you get it you know, I’m happy for you; if you don’t, I’m happy for you. Obviously you just gotta be smart about how people move around.”

Green Bay is getting back the services of Adams just in time for their huge match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. But as he is coming back, Rodgers is out of the game after testing positive for COVID. With him testing positive and not taking one of the NFL-approved vaccinations, he could be out for next week’s game as well.

Rodgers and the Packers season hot start

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers picked up win No. 7 this year on Thursday night. Green Bay took down the Arizona Cardinals in a 24-21 battle. The 7-1 Packers have a steady lead in the NFC North. Behind them, the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have three wins apiece.

Rodgers is having a great season for the Packers despite off-season drama. The vet has 1,894 passing yards through eight games with 17 touchdowns and three interceptions. Rodgers’ completion percentage at 67% is one of his best yet, following his 70% year last season that earned him another MVP award.

Reporters asked Aaron Rodgers in August if he was vaccinated and he said, “Yeah, I’ve been immunized.”

“There are guys on the team who haven’t been vaccinated, it’s a personal decision, I’m not going to judge those guys,” Rodgers said. “It’s an interesting issue I think we’re going to see played out the entire season.”

Packers practice squad QB Kurt Benkert tested positive earlier this week. As a result, Green Bay is flying in multiple veteran quarterbacks this week in hopes of signing one to their practice squad.
