David Bakhtiari reacts to news of Packers offensive coordinator hire

Green Bay Packers offensive lineman David Bakhtiari took to Twitter on Monday to congratulate his position coach on a major promotion. The Packers officially announced Adam Stenavich as the new offensive coordinator the morning after the conference championship games.
Stenavich achieved a rare feat for a career offensive line coach by securing the offensive coordinator position and Bakhtiari clearly thinks he’s deserving of the job.
“Well deserved,” Bakhtiari tweeted. “So happy for Steno and his family.”
With the departure of Nathaniel Hackett to the Denver Broncos, the Packers were in the market for a new offensive coordinator. Originally, it was believed quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy would be promoted. However, Getsy took his talents to Chicago, named the offensive coordinator of the Bears.
Now, the Packers are turning to Stenavich. Since he joined Green Bay, the team’s run-game has been among the best in the league. Now, he’ll look to have continued success with the team he’s worked his way up for.

“No. The hurdle you want to get over is having a full recovery from an ACL,” he told CheeseheadTV. “I know my ACL is good. My meniscus is good, they cut out like 10-15 percent of it. It’s just my knee needing rest. Structurally it’s good. Just need to take this time off.”
The left tackle was very close to a return before the Packers fell to the 49ers last week. Head coach Matt LeFleur discussed the decision to hold him out to close the year and his status going forward.
“I don’t think it was anybody’s fault as to why this happened,” LaFleur said, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “I do know this: David worked his ass off on a daily basis to try to be available for us. It just didn’t work out.
“The opinions we’ve gotten from not only our docs but other docs as well is that structurally, everything looks good. But until we get there, until we work through this, I don’t think anybody truly knows. Everybody responds to these injuries a little bit differently. Unfortunately, in his case, it just has taken longer than it typically does. But I’ve got complete confidence that David, he’s so diligent, man. He does everything the right way. It’s just an unfortunate circumstance that we’re being dealt with right now.”
