Brett Favre names greatest playmaker in NFL history

The Green Bay Packers have been fortunate at the quarterback position in recent history with Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers.
When asked to identify the greatest playmaker in the history of the NFL, Favre didn’t look far. He believes Aaron Rodgers, right now, should take the honors.
“I just think that his football IQ is as good as anybody’s that ever played the game,” Favre said of Rodgers. “Aaron’s going to shatter every record out there if he continues to play. He’s better now than he’s ever been and shows no signs of slowing down,” Favre continued.
Coming off a NFL MVP season, Rodgers is once again putting up prolific numbers.
Heading into the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs, Rodgers has 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions for the Green Bay Packers.
“He never makes bad decisions and he never makes bad throws,” Favre explained. “It just seems like he’s always on time. He’s always accurate and he always picks the right guy [to throw to]. I’m sure there’s times he’s picked the wrong guy, but you wouldn’t know it. Because he makes it work.”
With all of the speculation about Rodgers leaving the Pack, Favre doesn’t believe his future destination will have an effect on his production.
“Whether he goes to another team or not, he’s gonna make whoever he plays with so much better,” Favre added. “He’s just a prolific playmaker. Probably, the best playmaker that I think we have ever seen.”

Former NFL doctor outlines worries about Green Bay Packers offensive line
As the Packers get pieces back on their offensive line, the question is how they’ll hold up against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night. A former NFL team doctor weighed in — and his concern isn’t where you might think.
San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is dealing with some high-profile injuries that could impact things. But the 49ers have Nick Bosa back, and Chao’s bigger concern is how Green Bay Packers offensive lineman David Bakhtiari handles him in his first game of the season.
“The talk is about Jimmy Garoppolo’s shoulder and thumb but that is not what will decide the game,” Chao wrote for Outkick. “The big matchup is the cleared Nick Bosa vs LT David Bahktiari who has yet to play a complete game this season coming off his ACL tear. The Packers have offensive line issues where three of the starters (LT, C, RT) have not played together. Yes they have Jaire Alexander, Za’Darius Smith and Whitney Mercilus coming back, but the key battle is on the line when Aaron Rodgers has the ball and we have our worries.”
Bakhtiari tore his ACL on New Year’s Eve 2020 and has been working his way back ever since. He was listed as questionable on the Packers final injury report heading into the big matchup, which kicks off Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX.
Bosa left last week’s Wild Card game against the Dallas Cowboys with a concussion, but is good to go against the Green Bay Packers. That means the 49ers’ pass rushing attack gets a huge boost at a good time.
