Hulk Hogan‘s widow, Sky Daily, plans on filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against at least one of her late husband’s doctors, per TMZ Sports. If Daily follows through on her plans, the lawsuit will reportedly revolve around a neck operation Hogan underwent in May.

“Sky first told us … she believes Hogan’s phrenic nerve — which controls your breathing — was ‘compromised’ during that procedure,” TMZ Sports wrote. “Those issues are thought to have played a significant role in his ultimate demise at his Clearwater Beach, Fla. home on July 24 … as sources who have heard the 911 audio tell us Sky informed authorities on the emergency call, ‘My husband’s not breathing. He just stopped breathing.'”

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on July 24. He was 71 years old. His official cause of death was a heart attack. However, Daily had a private autopsy done on Hogan’s body to search for any signs of medical malpractice, per TMZ Sports.

Hulk Hogan and Sky Daily got married on Sept. 22, 2023. The two met through a mutual friend. Daily is a yoga instructor.

Hogan began his professional wrestling career in 1977. He joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1983. The WWF eventually became the WWE.

Hogan was arguably the largest star in the sport during the 1980s, when professional wrestling reached new heights of popularity. He headlined eight of the first nine editions of WrestleMania and was the WWF Champion for 1,474 days, the third-longest reign of all time.

In 1994, Hogan joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the WWF’s rival organization. While there, Hogan made his infamous heel turn, teaming up with the New World Order. After the WWF bought the WCW in 2002, Hogan won the organization’s belt again for the sixth time. Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Hogan’s ability to entertain fans wasn’t limited to the wrestling ring. He also made numerous appearances in films over the years, including Rocky III, No Holds Barred and Suburban Commando. The WWE released a heartfelt statement in the wake of Hogan’s death and honored him with a 10-bell salute.

“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the statement read. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
