Iowa assistants pleased with summer basketball workouts
There is an almost entirely new basketball team that has gathered in Iowa City this summer. The Hawkeye basketball team only has two players were part of the program that are returning this season. While several players were together last year at Drake, it’s still a new dynamic for Ben McCollum and his staff to coach and prepare for the upcoming season.
Following practice today, we were able to visit with assistant coaches Connor Wheeler and Luke Barnwell about how practice has gone so far. They discuss the intense workouts that the team participates in prior to practice, what they have seen from all of the new players and how this squad is coming together.
