Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was seen today in the Cardinals-49ers game wearing a picture of a famous figure on his thigh pad. Who was it? None other than martial arts legend Bruce Lee.

Check out the picture below from PFF’s Twitter.

Paying tribute to someone on the thigh pads is definitely a new one and something rarely seen in football over the years.

Murray has continued to light up the scoreboard in the 2021 season for the Cardinals. He makes incredible highlight plays so routinely that you almost expect them out of the gifted dual-threat quarterback.

Check out the 33-yard pitch and catch by Murray to rookie wide receiver Rondale Moore today (Sunday) against the San Francisco 49ers.

According to Next Gen Stats, the completion had a probability of 11.8%, the third most improbable completion in the NFL this season, and the second most improbable completion of Murray’s NFL career.

What a throw by Murray and what incredible body control by Rondale Moore. To be able to drag his toes like that and extend his arms out to catch the ball like that, just an incredible play. San Francisco 49ers cornerback Dontae Johnson thought there was no way he caught it.

Rookie quarterback Trey Lance had over 200 all-purpose yards today for the 49ers, while throwing one interception and no touchdown passes.

Second-year wide receiver Deebo Samuel ran for a 13-yard touchdown run to cut the Arizona lead to 10-7 with 1:42 remaining in the third quarter. That’s as close as the 49ers would get in this one.

The Cardinals went up 17-7 with 5:13 remaining in the game on a fade pass from Murray to DeAndre Hopkins.

Arizona won the game 17-10, and they remain the only undefeated team in the National Football League at 5-0.

It’s the franchise’s first 5-0 start since they were the 1974 St. Louis Cardinals.

Murray to Moore

Murray to Moore has been an incredible connection during the 2021 season and the two have connected on many other highlight reel plays like this one.

Kyler Murray has posted some impressive stats so far for the 2021 season and has himself in the thick of the MVP conversation. He’s completed over 76 percent of his passes for over 1,273 passing yards, while tossing nine touchdown passes with four interceptions.

One of the most decorated prospects of all-time

Kyler Murray was one of the most decorated prospects in the 2015 recruiting class coming out of high school. He was rated as a consensus five-star prospect by every scouting service in the nation. To this day, he remains as one of the most accomplished high school football players in Texas High School football history.

He led Allen High School to three straight state championships and never lost a game in high school as a starting quarterback (43-0). An incredible athlete, Murray became the first player to ever be selected to the Under Armour All-American game for baseball and football, as well.
