Brett Maher has the yips – the playoff yips.

UPDATE: Maher made his first PAT following the Cowboys’ fifth touchdown. He is 1-for-5 on extra points.

The Cowboys’ kicker has missed all four extra-point attempts during the Dallas’ wild-card playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And some of them haven’t been close. To make matters even worse (or hilariously better), the Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s Twitter account provided the textbook definition for Maher’s condition.

Luckily for Dallas and Maher, the Cowboys’ defense has made those misses irrelevant through the first three quarters against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The winner of the Cowboys-Buccaneers wild-card game will move on to face the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.

Micah Parson limps off field at halftime of Cowboys playoff game

Micah Parsons has been all over the field on Monday night, on a mission to get the Dallas Cowboys a playoff win. He finally got a holding call against him as well, meaning the All-Pro should be heading into the locker room happy with an 18-0 lead.

ESPN’s Joe Buck said those in the booth were told a shin injury was bothering the pass rusher, hitting the leg of somebody while rushing the passer.

“At the end of the first half, we saw Micah Parsons limp away,” Buck reported. “Had his right leg hit. We were told it’s a shin issue. He kind of walked back out onto the field at the end of halftime. A little bit of a limp — we’ll keep an eye out on that.”

Even if Parsons had a slight injury, he would find a way to get himself on the field. More information will be available once the game is over.

Dallas currently leads Tom Brady and the Bucs 31-6 with just under 10 minutes left in the ballgame.
