The NFL trade deadline has finally passed for the season, and teams making moves combined to set a new record for trades on the final day. Ahead of the deadline at 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 1, the NFL saw ten trades made before the clock ran out — a record number for the league.

NFL trade deadline sets new record for deals

“There were a record 10 trades made today, the most ever made on any NFL trade deadline day,” detailed ESPN’s Adam Schefter on the big day.

The NFL shook up the landscape of the league in a fairly big way, with the normally tame trade deadline looking more like the NBA’s. Several big name talents were acquired by teams in a hunt for the Super Bowl, with the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings all acquiring big players.

NFL Trades made on Nov. 1

Bills acquire RB Nyheim Hines from the Colts
Bills acquire S Dean Marlowe from the Falcons
Dolphins acquire LB Bradley Chubb from the Broncos
Dolphins acquire RB Jeff Wilson Jr. from the 49ers
Vikings acquire TE T.J. Hockenson from the Lions
Broncos acquire DE Jacob Martin from the Jets
Bears acquire WR Chase Claypool from the Steelers
Jaguars acquire WR Calvin Ridley from the Falcons
Steelers acquire CB William Jackson III from the Commanders
Falcons acquire CB Rashad Fenton from the Chiefs

Although several players could have a huge impact in their new home, the Dolphins picking up Bradley Chubb is a potentially huge one for their defense. Chubb has been an elite pass rusher this season, currently ranking third in the league among edge rushers in pass rush win percentage. The only two pass rushers ranking higher than Chubb at the moment are Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett.
