Former Oklahoma State Cowboys running back Jaylen Warren makes undrafted free agency decision

Another undrafted rookie free agent from the 2022 NFL Draft has found a new home. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, former Oklahoma State Cowboys running back Jaylen Warren is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per a source.
Warren went to Oklahoma State after transferring from Utah State. The five-foot-eight native of Salt Lake City, UT, impressed in his one season with the Cowboys. Warren rushed for 1,216 yards on 256 attempts with 11 touchdowns. Those numbers are nearly double his most productive season, his junior year, at Utah State. And not only was Warren effective on the ground, but he contributed through the air as well, recording 25 catches for 225 yards for the Cowboys.
Steelers select Samford quarterback Chris Oladokun in 2022 NFL Draft
The Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Chris Oladokun out of Samford with the 241st overall pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Previously, the Steelers selected Ole Miss linebacker Mark Robinson with their first seventh round pick earlier in the day.
Behind the starting three on Pittsburgh’s defensive line, the Steelers severely lack depth in the trenches. Last season they were one worst run-stopping teams in the NFL and did little to stack depth at the position so far this offseason. Cornerback is also a position Tomlin needs to address before the start of the 2022-23 season.

Pittsburgh selected Memphis receiver Calvin Austin with their first day three draft choice in the fourth round. Coming into day three, the Steelers used their second and third round picks on Georgia receiver George Pickens and Texas A&M defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal, respectively.
In terms of needs coming into the weekend, the Steelers need help at the wide receiver position, having lost 60 percent of their wide receiver production last season following the departures of JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud. Chase Claypool needs help next season, and if it can’t come through free agency, it should come from the NFL Draft.
The Steelers’ selection wraps up another successful NFL Draft class for Tomlin and company, who are looking to usher in a new era in Pittsburgh following the retirement of longtime quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
