Ahead of their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens this week, the Pittsburgh Steelers have made their injury report available from Thursday’s practice.

The Steelers have some control over their playoff destiny but, on top of beating Baltimore, they also need Indianapolis to somehow lose to Jacksonville.

Ben Roethlisberger continues to battle a nagging pectoral injury. However, he practiced as a full participant on Thursday.

Steelers vs Ravens injury report

Did Not Practice – Steelers: LB Buddy Johnson (Foot), G Trai Turner (Knee), T Dan Moore Jr. (Ankle), DB Arthur Maulet (Illness)

Steelers offensive linemen Turner and Moore Jr. were both out with injuries on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition to their injuries, linebacker Buddy Johnson is still dealing with a foot injury that forced him to miss the game against the Browns. Also, defensive back Arthur Maulet missed practice with an illness.

“We’ll monitor those guys and let their participation and the quality of their participation be our guide in terms of planning as we push through the week,” said head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday.

Full Participation – Steelers: QB Ben Roethlisberger (Pectoral/Right Shoulder), CB Terrell Edmunds (Groin)

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s shoulder and pectoral injury held him back on Wednesday but he went full-go on Thursday. It’s highly unlikely that he would ever miss the must-win (and potentially his final) game.

Pittsburgh Thursday roster moves

On Thursday, the Steelers added wide receiver Diontae Johnson and center Kendrick Green to the reserve/COVID-19 list, and they restored defensive tackle Daniel Archibong to the practice squad. The COVID-19 movements come just a day after Steelers cornerback Joe Haden went on the list as well, which may end his Pittsburgh career as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Johnson would be a huge loss for Pittsburgh, as he is the Steelers’ top receiver by a wide margin. The wideout has 100 receptions for 1,110 yards and eight touchdown catches. He is one of just six players in the NFL with at least 100 receptions this year.

Green started the first 15 games of the year for the Steelers, but J.C. Hassenauer replaced him at starting center in Monday night’s win over the Cleveland Browns. The rookie out of Illinois and third-round draft pick is dealing with a calf injury, and he was not benched for performance-related issues, per Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. According to PFF, in 975 snaps played, Green has allowed just three sacks.

Also a rookie, Archibong went undrafted last spring before signing with the Chicago Bears. After the Bears released him, he went on Pittsburgh’s practice squad the following day. He made his NFL debut on Nov. 21.
