WATCH: Justin Thomas, Daniel Berger shotgun beers at Ryder Cup

It’s a good day to be a beer at the Ryder Cup. Team USA members Justin Thomas and Daniel Berger tossed beers into the crowd on the first tee of the Whistling Straits (Wisconsin) golf course Saturday, and a few were thrown back at the duo.
With fans chanting for them to “chug a beer,” Thomas and Berger did not disappoint. Thomas and Berger each shotgunned a brewski as their day at the Ryder Cup, an exclamation on a weekend that has seen Team USA build a huge lead over Europe.
An Alabama graduate, Thomas and partner Jordan Spieth combined for a win over Viktor Hovland and Bernd Wiesberger in a morning foursome. Berger, a Florida State graduate, was partnered with Brooks Koepka in a foursome as the pair fell to Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia.
Team USA has dominated through the first two days of the cup. They carried a 6-2 lead into Saturday after a 3-1 record in foursome play. USA then went to go 3-1 in for matches on Saturday morning, taking a 9-3 overall lead into the afternoon. The margin is the largest lead held by the Americans through three sessions since 1975.
Kirk Herbstreit: There are some concerns with Alabama
The concerns about No. 1 Alabama have continued to roll in following its close victory over No. 11 Florida in Week 3. Alabama got out to a big lead in the game but sputtered late. Florida came within a late two-point conversion from tying the game. The Crimson Tide came away with the win, but many experts have serious concerns about the team moving forward. ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit is one of those that has some concerns about Nick Saban’s Alabama squad.

Herbstreit joined Paul Finebaum on The Paul Finebaum Show earlier in the week. There, he addressed his thoughts of Alabama’s performance against Florida and admitted that he has concerns.
“There’s some concerns with Alabama,” Herbstreit said on the Paul Finebaum Show. “I mean, we all wanted to after we watched them in the first couple of weeks put them in the championship. It’s Nick Saban, it’s Alabama. It doesn’t matter who’s on the roster, they’re in. But going to Florida, as you know, they’ve moved offensive linemen around. You’ve got one returning starter at the same position that he played a year ago.
“You’ve got a new offensive line coach in in Doug Marrone. You got a new offensive coordinator, new quarterback. On the road, they got whipped up front in certain series in that game. So, I think it just shows that Alabama’s got work to do, especially offensively. They’ve got to continue to build continuity on that side of the ball. The ceiling is incredibly high with Bryce Young and the receivers.”
