Eric Mulder and Nate Heise — Iowa State's Eric Mulder and Nate Heise speak to the media following a summer workout on August 5, 2025.

IPFW post transfer Eric Mulder and returning shooting guard/small forward Nate Heise spoke to the local media on Tuesday morning as Iowa State winds down summer conditioning this week.

Mulder, an in-state native and Pella Christian alum who has one year of eligibility remaining, spoke on the transition to a new team and challenges of competing at the highest level of college basketball.

Heise, himself a former transfer portal addition of the Cyclones‘, said he’s looking to carry over the momentum he built during a stretch run that helped ISU reach the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-consecutive season under head coach TJ Otzelberger.
