WATCH: Anthony Richardson outruns Cam Newton, Tim Tebow in overlaid 40-yard dash

Former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson was a virtual lock to light up the 2023 NFL Combine when he announced he’d be going pro after last season. He has not disappointed in the least bit, running a blazing 40 that far outpaced a pair of SEC legends.
Richardson ran the fastest time of all the quarterbacks at 4.44 seconds (unofficially) while clocking in at 6-foot-4, and over 240 pounds. And his time was easily better than that of fellow former Gator Tim Tebow and NFL MVP Cam Newton.
Even after 10 yards, Richardson was separated from the other two in this overlay shared by the NFL.
As for comparisons to current quarterbacks, Richardson outpaced three of the best and most athletic quarterbacks in the league: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert. And this one was even more stark.

It’s just another in a set of impressive feats for Richardson on Saturday in Indianapolis.
WATCH: Anthony Richardson shows off insane athleticism, sets new record at 2023 NFL Combine
It’s no secret that Richardson is one of the best all-around athletes in the 2023 NFL Draft. He showed why during the broad and vertical jumps at the NFL Combine on Saturday.
Richardson raised plenty of eyebrows when he jumped 40.5″ in the vertical jump, which set a new record for quarterbacks. That came after he turned in a 10’9″ broad jump.
It was quite the day for one of the most intriguing prospects on the board.
Richardson is seen as one of the top quarterbacks on the board after an up-and-down 2022 season with Florida. Still, his performance at the combine adds to the excitement about his potential in the league. This past year, he proved he can be an effective dual-threat with 2,549 passing yards, 654 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns.
It’s safe to say his performance Saturday will be talked about for some time.
