Ahead of this week’s 2024 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, FanDuel Sportsbook has released their odds for each team to win it all.

The top seed in this season’s Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament is none other than Zach Edey and the Purdue Boilermakers, who have been on a mission since their shocking elimination during the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Elsewhere, the other heavy favorite is the Illinois Fighting Illini, who have been consistent over this season’s campaign.

Here’s where each team stands entering the Big Ten Tournament, according to FanDuel. It should be an awesome event, broadcasting live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Purdue Boilermakers (+100)

The Purdue Boilermakers enter the Big Ten Tournament after amassing a record of 28-3 on the season, finishing 17-3 within the Big Ten. They’re led by the aforementioned Edey, who’s averaging 24.2 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

Purdue won’t play until Fri. March 15, so the Boilermakers will have plenty of time to scout their competition, as the top seed overall in Minneapolis. We’ll see if they can start their trek for an NCAA title on the right foot.

Illinois Fighting Illini (+300)

The Illinois Fighting Illini are the biggest threat to Purdue, according to FanDuel. They’re led by Terrance Shannon Jr., as his 21.6 points per game helped the program amass a record of 23-8 on the season, while going 14-6 within the conference.

Two of their losses over their campaign came against Purdue, although the Fighting Illini played the Boilermakers close. They’ll be hoping for another shot against the top team in the conference when it’s all said and done.

Nebraska Cornhuskers (+1000)

It’s been an uneven season for Nebraska, but the Cornhuskers are hot entering the 2024 Big Ten Tournament. Led by Keisei Tomonaga’s 14.6 points per game, Nebraska has won six of their last seven entering Minneapolis.

They’re the No. 3 seed, so the Cornhuskers won’t be playing until Friday, and their opponent is yet to be determined. Nebraska has been yearning for success on the hardwood, and now they’ll look to continue an awesome regular season into the post-season.

Wisconsin Badgers (+1200)

Wisconsin barely missed out on a double-bye, but they’ll at least face an opponent who’s already played a game, as they’ll await the winner of the showdown between Maryland and Rutgers. The Badgers enter the Big Ten Tournament after a regular season that saw them win 19 games.

Their conference record was strong though, as Wisconsin finished over .500 with an 11-9 record. Led by AJ Storr’s 16.2 points per game, there’s a lot to like about the Badgers entering March, even if they’ve been inconsistent.

Michigan State Spartans (+1400)

Michigan State certainly didn’t finish the season the way they had hoped. The Spartans lost four of their final five games, dropping them to the No. 8 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Now, they’ll face Minnesota on Thursday.

The Golden Gophers are sneaky, but it’s evident many expect the Spartans to handle them. Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess which Michigan State team shows up, but a good showing in the Big Ten Tournament would go a long way for Tom Izzo’s squad.

Northwestern Wildcats (+1700)

Northwestern accomplished some amazing feats during the 2023-2024 season. The Wildcats finished the season 21-10, with a conference record of 12-8, including a win over Purdue.

Led by Boo Buie’s 18.9 points per game, the Wildcats have a lot of potential entering March. We’ll see if Northwestern can make some noise throughout the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments, like they did during the regular season.

2024 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament Odds Continued:

As you can see, there’s a myriad of teams yearning for victory in the Big Ten Tournament, but they’re all going to have to go through Purdue. Still, there’s resumes to strengthen, and titles to win. We’ll see who’s standing tall at the end of the week, ahead of Selection Sunday.
