2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds: Updated betting lines following Kansas

The odds for who will emerge as the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion have been updated following this past weekend’s race at Kansas Speedway. Chase Elliott was victorious, but it wasn’t without some controversy.

Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace seemed destined to bring Toyota a win, until Hamlin got a little greedy and left the door open for Elliott. The Hendrick Motorsports wheelman took full advantage, and locked himself into the Round of 8 with a thrilling victory.

With that in mind, BetMGM Sportsbook has released its updated betting lines for which driver will stand above all at the end of the year as champion after all of the action in Kansas. Here’s where each wheelman stands entering the Charlotte ROVAL.

Ryan Blaney (+350)

Ryan Blaney came home P24 in Kansas. He didn’t have much to race for, as his focus has turned to the Round of 8 after his victory in New Hampshire.

Blaney won the inaugural iteration of the Charlotte ROVAL back in 2018. However, it hasn’t been very smooth sailing since then. Thankfully, it won’t matter much — he’s already locked into the Round of 8 via his win at New Hampshire.

Denny Hamlin (+500)

Denny Hamlin had some tough questions to answer this week, after moving Bubba Wallace up the track during the final lap of the race at Kansas. It was all for naught though, as Chase Elliott passed the veteran wheelman for the win, and Hamlin had to settle for second.

He’s sitting +48 after the event, so he’s in good standing heading into the ROVAL. This will be his eighth attempt at the track, but he only has one top ten finish. It hasn’t always been pretty either.

Kyle Larson (+500)

Kansas is one of Kyle Larson’s favorite tracks, and he showed why over the weekend that was. He finished sixth, which marked a solid performance for the No. 5 Chevrolet team.

Larson has two wins at the ROVAL — he was victorious in 2021 and then again last season. He’s not exactly in danger of missing the Round of 8, but he’d still prefer to capture another checkered flag in Charlotte.

Christopher Bell (+500)

Christopher Bell came home third at Kansas. He’s continuing to be one of the more consistent wheelman in the Cup Series, and a threat to win week-in and week-out.

Bell was victorious at the ROVAL in 2022. He’s always a threat when the Cup Series heads to Charlotte. He doesn’t have much to worry about at +44 in the playoff standings, so he might be going all out for win No. 5 in 2025.

William Byron (+500)

William Byron came home ninth at Kansas this past weekend. He was one of three Hendrick cars in the top ten, as the team is finding more and more speed each week.

Byron finished third at the ROVAL last season, and second in 2023. He’s getting close to winning at the track, and at +40 in the playoff standings, perhaps he’ll go all out for the win in 2025.

Chase Elliott (+800)

Chase Elliott won in miraculous fashion this past weekend at Kansas. He came from P10 all the way to the front in the final laps, dooring Denny Hamlin and crossing the finish-line first for win No. 2 of the season.

Moving forward, Elliott has two wins at the ROVAL — they came in back to back seasons during the 2019 and 2020 campaigns. He’s already locked into the Round of 8, but another dub would continue his glorious momentum.

Chase Briscoe (+1200)

Chase Briscoe notched yet another top five at Kansas. He came home P4, with two of his fellow Joe Gibbs Racing teammates joining him in the top five, as well.

The ROVAL has never been too kind to Briscoe. He’s finished in the top ten only once in four tries. That was before his turning over of a new leaf at Joe Gibbs Racing though. Perhaps he can ascend this weekend.

Joey Logano (+1400)

Joey Logano came home P21 in Kansas. He’s currently only 13 points above the cut-line, so a bad day in Charlotte could see the reigning champion eliminated during the Round of 12.

Logano has always been solid at the ROVAL. Last season, he was eliminated from the playoffs at the track, or so he thought — an Alex Bowman disqualification would give him a second chance, and the Team Penske wheelman rode that all the way to the title in 2024.

Updated NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds:

  • Tyler Reddick (+4000)
  • Bubba Wallace (+4000)
  • Ross Chastain (+6000)
  • Austin Cindric (+15000)
