More on the 2025 NASCAR playoff field

Before the Daytona race, 14 drivers clinched a spot in the playoffs. Tyler Reddick wrecked at Daytona, but he became the 15th driver to clinch a playoff spot because Alex Bowman was involved in a different wreck. Before Daytona, Reddick was in 15th place in the playoff standings, and Bowman was in 16th.

William Byron clinched the regular season title last weekend, but can he survive the playoffs? Byron has missed out on winning the title the last two seasons, finishing third in the final Cup points standings in 2023 and 2024.

The playoffs will start with the Round of 16 on Aug. 31 at Darlington. There will be three playoff races before the bottom four drivers are eliminated.
