2025 NFL Draft: Panthers signing Moose Muhammad III, son of Muhsin Muhammad, to undrafted free agent deal

The Carolina Panthers are signing Texas A&M receiver Moose Muhammad III to an undrafted free agent deal, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. He is the son of Muhsin Muhammad, former Panthers All-Pro wideout.
Moose Muhammad went unselected through seven rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft following a five-year career with the Aggies. The 23-year-old appeared in 43 games, hauling in 81 receptions for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His best season came during his sophomore season in 2022. Muhammad finished second on the team with 38 catches for 610 yards, to go along with a team-leading four receiving scores. His production dipped significantly this past season, recording just six catches for 55 yards and two touchdowns.
As a recruit, Muhammad was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 168 overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Muhammad checked in as the No. 29 receiver in the class and No. 6 overall player from the state of North Carolina, hailing from Myers Park High School (Charlotte, N.C.).

Moose Muhammad III joins crowded WR room in Carolina
Muhsin Muhammad had an 11-year career in Carolina and is second in Panthers history in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Moose Muhammad will hope to add to his father’s legacy in Carolina, though he faces an uphill climb to crack the 53-man roster.
The Panthers selected Arizona‘s Tetairoa McMillan with the No. 8 overall pick and Colorado‘s Jimmy Horn Jr. in the sixth round. They join Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, Xavier Legette and David Moore in the Panthers’ receiver room.
