2025 U.S. Open Odds: Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau headline betting favorites

It’s U.S. Open week at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Starting with Round 1 on Thursday, 156 of the best golfers in the world will tee it up in hopes of winning the third of four majors on the 2025 calendar.
This, the 125th U.S. Open, features a strong field of contenders. FanDuel Sportsbook has compiled its betting odds to win the 10th U.S. Open held at Oakmont. To no one’s surprise, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the overwhelming favorite.
Scottie Scheffler +280
Scheffler returns to where it all began in his U.S. Open career. Oakmont was the grounds of his first U.S. Open start back in 2016. Then, he was a 19-year-old amateur from Dallas, Texas. Now 28, he’s the undisputed best golfer in the world.
The three-time major champion has never won the U.S. Open. He finished T2 at The Country Club in 2022. Scheffler has been on a tear of late, winning three of his last four starts, including the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club last month.
Bryson DeChambeau +700

LIV Golf’s superstar has been a constant at the top of the leaderboard in majors since last season. DeChambeau missed the cut in last year’s Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club but has otherwise been fantastic. He’s finished T6 or better in his other five major starts since 2024. DeChambeau is the defending U.S Open Champion, a major he also won back in 2020.

Rory McIlroy +1200
Last year’s U.S. Open was heartbreak for McIlroy. He comes back this season, however, with a Green Jacket in his possession after winning the Masters Tournament in April. McIlroy has teed it up just three times since, finishing T7 in the Truist Championship and T47 at the PGA Championship before missing the cut in the RBC Canadian Open last week.
His game hasn’t been as crisp since his sensational performance at Augusta National Golf Club. But McIlroy is hungry to win his second U.S. Open and first since 2011.
Jon Rahm +1200

Rahm, the former world No. 1 and 2023 Masters champion, has largely flown under the radar since his move to LIV Golf. But on his best day, Rahm is still capable of winning any tournament against any set of competitors. He’s tallied three consecutive top 15 finishes in majors dating back to a T7 finish in last year’s Open Championship. Rahm led at one point in the Final Round of last month’s PGA Championship before Scheffler pulled away on the back nine to win.
