$300,000 price tag revealed for Super Bowl ads on Nickelodeon
Super Bowl ads offer great exposure for companies, but they come at a high price because of that. Nickelodeon, which will offer an alternate broadcast of Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday catered to kids, is the latest example.
Ad Age reported that 30-second ads on the children’s network during the Super Bowl cost $300,000. Not only that, but they sold out all the time slots.
Even at such a high asking price, it is often worth it for companies due to the sheer amount of eyeballs on the Super Bowl. Last year’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles set a new record with an average of 114.2 million viewers. Viewership has continued to rise over the past decade-plus, with 11 of the past 14 Super Bowl averaging an audience of more than 100 million.
The 2024 Super Bowl between the Chiefs and San Francisco numbers could even shatter the record set last year. The relationship between pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce has brought even more attention to the game, with fans of Swift who otherwise would not have tuned in now having reason to.
NFL games made up a staggering 93 of the top 100 broadcast programs last year according to the Nielsen ratings. With the Super Bowl undoubtedly the most-watched game of the year, everyone wants a piece of the pie and potential customers a memorable commercial can provide. For a select few, it’s even more anticipated than the game itself.

As one might imagine, the price for Super Bowl ads is even higher on the official CBS broadcast. NBC reported that the average 30-second time slot there cost buyers between $6-7 million.
Either way, it should be an exciting game with plenty worth tuning in for, hopefully including the commercials. Kickoff for the Super Bowl is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Taylor Swift flight en route from Japan to Super Bowl LVIII
Taylor Swift‘s trek to the Super Bowl has begun, with the superstar singer leaving Tokyo to head back to the United States to catch her boyfriend Travis Kelce as he vies for his third Super Bowl ring.
Sky News reports that Swift told her fans, ‘We’re all gonna go on a great adventure‘ prior to leaving on her flight.
Swift played a concert in Japan just prior to the Super Bowl, highlighting her crazy travel schedule as she looks to support her boyfriend on the biggest stage. But she should be able to make it in time, barring any last-second snags.
