Aaron Rodgers blows up with NSFW reaction to near-DK Metcalf TD getting broken up

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not happy after his pass to wide receiver DK Metcalf was broken up by a Green Bay Packers defender. During the broadcast, NBC caught Rodgers having an NSFW reaction to the play that would have been a touchdown if Metcalf caught the pass.
It’s clear Rodgers wants to beat the Packers since he played for the team from 2005 to 2022. During his time in Green Bay, Rodgers won four NFL MVP awards and led the team to a Super Bowl title during the 2010 season.
Aaron Rodgers came into the game ready to face the Packers. However, the 41-year-old said he was not extra motivated to take down his former team. “I don’t have any animosity toward the organization. Obviously, I wish that things would’ve been better in our last year there, but I have a great relationship still with a lot of people in that organization,” Rodgers said, per the Steelers’ official website. “This is not a revenge game for me. I’m just excited to see some of those guys and be on Sunday Night Football again.”
Aaron Rodgers talks about his relationship with Packers QB Jordan Love
Rodgers still has a lot of ties with the Packers. Jordan Love, Green Bay’s starting QB, played with Rodgers for three seasons before taking over as the starter in 2023. Rodgers said he has enjoyed seeing love grow as a player over the last few seasons.

“I texted with him last week because they had played a couple common opponents,” Rodgers said of Love. “He’s a great kid, man. He really is. I enjoyed my time with him. I’m not surprised by how he’s playing; he’s playing great. His progression was like mine, kind of, where the first year you get your feet wet; second year you feel a little bit more confident. By the time the third year comes around, you’re ready to play.
Entering Sunday’s game, Rodgers has thrown for 1,270 yards, 14 touchdowns, and five interceptions through six games. He is in his first season in Pittsburgh after spending the last two seasons with the New York Jets.
