NFL Insider details the extreme issues with Aaron Rodgers' toe injury

The health of Aaron Rodgers has once again become a major storyline, though very few casual football followers or Green Bay Packers’ fans were aware of the star quarterback’s ailment ahead of last week’s win over the Vikings.
Earlier this week, the reigning NFL MVP joined the Pat McAfee show to give a first-hand account of his toe injury in graphic detail.
On Monday, NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport expanded on the brutal pain Aaron Rodgers is battling, and will be fighting through in the coming weeks.
“Rodgers was not lying, that toe sounds like it is really significant and he was pretty severely limited early in the week, and usually when you see a player have no game status for Sunday, you’re like ‘alright, good to go,” Rappaport said.
The NFL insider then provided keen details into the Packers’ quarterback’s routine leading into the Vikings matchup.
“That wasn’t really the case here. I mean he did play, but he only took 15 reps on Friday, was limping around and was significantly limited with a painful toe injury. Rodgers was talking about just getting to the bye, and while the bye is coming, it’s not next week. It’s week 13.”
Aaron Rodgers is obviously the biggest key to the Packers continuing their quest toward another Super Bowl run. Green Bay has been decimated with injuries throughout the season and can’t afford to lose their star signal-caller for any significant time. Earlier this week, Matt LaFleur confirmed that versatile starting offensive linemen Elgton Jenkins was out with a season-ending knee injury

All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari has yet to see the field for the 2021 campaign, and COVID continues to take a toll on the Green Bay Packers’ locker room.
According to Rappaport, Aaron Rodgers has his eye on the upcoming bye week, although he has a tough task against a Los Angeles Rams defense that can create havoc for quarterbacks up next.
“So he’s gotta get through one more game, I think, if my math is correct, limping around, on the same schedule just practicing Friday, but somehow, someway getting it done,” Rappaport added of Aaron Rodgers.
“It just makes his performance all the more impressive considering how painful it is for him.”
Over the years, the Packers’ signal-caller has proven to battle through injury and rarely misses time, but when he does, the result hasn’t been pretty. Though many believe Jordan Love is the future in Green Bay, the inexperienced quarterback showed plenty of flaws and couldn’t find a way to beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 7.
For now, anyone with a rooting interest in the Pack is all-in on Aaron Rodgers.
