Adam Schefter to work as 'sideline' golf reporter for ESPN+

Adam Schefter will be covering golf for ESPN this weekend. While appearing on UnSportsmanlike on Tuesday, the NFL insider revealed he will be a sideline reporter for ESPN+ during the Travelers Championship.
“I am currently awaiting my assignment to see what featured group I’m going to be paired with on Thursday morning at the Travelers,” Schefter said. That led to the hosts asking about Schefter’s attire since he can’t wear a suit and tie on the golf course.
“I kind of been assigned, I guess it’s sort of like governmental TV,” Schefter stated. “I’ve been assigned a PGA Tour Live shirt that they got for me. And I guess the pants and the shoes are my own. It is supposed to be very hot on Thursday. I don’t know if I can get a clothing deal.”
It’s not clear if this will be a one-time thing or if he will cover golf on a part-time basis like he did with the NBA when Adrian Wojnarowski announced his retirement. But it’s clear ESPN will go to Adam Schefter if it needs someone to provide elite coverage.

Looking at Adam Schefter’s career at ESPN
Schefter has been with ESPN since August 2009 and appears on multiple programs, including NFL Live, Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, SportsCenter and more throughout the year. Per his bio, longtime media reporter Andrew Marchand dubbed Schefter as “The Most Prolific NFL Insider Ever.”
Schefter is a longtime reporter of the NFL as he has covered the league since 1990. Along with breaking news, he has been a sideline reporter for ESPN’s NFL wild-card games and some NBA games, including the NBA playoffs. Before joining ESPN, Schefter was a reporter/analyst for the NFL Network from 2004 to 2008, and a sportswriter for the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News for 15 years. During his time in Denver, Schefter covered the Denver Broncos when they won back-to-back Super Bowls.
When it comes to recent NFL news, Schefter gave some insight o Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announcing his marriage. “Look, the fact of the matter is he’s such an intriguing figure,” Schefter said on ESPN’s Get Up. “And there’s so much curiosity about his life, and he had been wearing a wedding ring. So, you want to ask it but it’s a personal issue, and he gave you enough to get your antenna up and want you to want more, but nobody was comfortable to ask any follow-ups, and he didn’t want to offer anything.”
