Ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft, adidas announced deals with two projected lottery picks. Former Baylor star VJ Edgecombe and former Oklahoma standout Jeremiah Fears signed with the company.

Edgecombe and Fears are the latest additions to adidas’ basketball roster. They join a group that includes Damian Lillard, James Harden and Anthony Edwards in the NBA. Adidas also has deals in place with multiple WNBA stars, including Chelsea Gray, Aliyah Boston and Kahleah Copper.

Both Edgecombe and Fears are projected to go in the first round of this week’s draft, which gets underway Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. They are both in attendance at Barclays Center, as well.

Fears put together an impressive season at Oklahoma after re-classifying to the 2024 recruiting class. He helped lead the Sooners to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals – leading the program in all three categories.

Entering Wednesday’s first round, Fears is projected to go in the Top 10 of the NBA Draft, according to On3’s James Fletcher III’s final mock draft. Now, he has his first major endorsement deal as he gets ready to head to the association.

“Three Stripes have been doing something special for awhile now,” Fears told Nick DePaula. “The relationship they have with their guys, and potentially having a signature shoe in the future was big.”

Edgecombe was also part of the impressive 2024 recruiting class and had a strong year at Baylor. He put up 15 points per game to go with 4.2 assists and a team-leading 2.1 steals on average, as well. In On3’s final mock draft, he came in as the projected No. 3 pick to the Philadelphia 76ers.

“This is a family, and I’m going to keep doing whatever I can do within that to help grow the brand,” Edgecombe told DePaula about signing with adidas.

Jeremiah Fears and VJ Edgecombe are part of an intriguing NBA Draft, which is expected to start with Cooper Flagg going No. 1 overall to the Dallas Mavericks and former Rutgers star Dylan Harper will go No. 2 to the San Antonio Spurs. From there, things get interesting, starting with the Philadelphia 76ers at No. 3 overall.

It’s all part of the anticipation for this year’s draft, which gets underway Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET from Barclays Center. Round 2 will be Thursday night.
