Amari Cooper airs it out on CeeDee Lamb for latest NFL fine
After CeeDee Lamb scored the game winning touchdown in the Dallas Cowboys’ last game against the New England Patriots, he waved goodbye to Patriots defensive back Jalen Mills. Lamb was ultimately fined $10,300 for the play. Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper talked about Lamb’s fine on Friday morning.
“I’ve never seen a player so young get fined so much,” Cooper said of Lamb, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “He’s gotten fined like every week. It’s very confusing to me. I’m like, ‘Do you like money? Do you like getting paid?’ It’s always uniform violations.”
Lamb wasn’t the only Cowboys player to be fined after the game. Defensive back Trevon Diggs and guard Connor Williams were also slapped with fines.
Cooper, Lamb are the two top weapons in the Cowboys passing offense
Cooper and Lamb have been valuable weapons for quarterback Dak Prescott this season. Lamb leads the team with 33 receptions, 49 targets, and 497 receiving yards. Cooper has 30 receptions on 43 targets and 373 yards. Both Cooper and Lamb have four touchdowns on the season.

While Lamb’s bank account might be a little lighter after his latest fine, he is still having a great season for the Cowboys. Against the Patriots, Lamb caught nine of his 11 targets for 149 yards and two touchdowns. He is likely to roll past last year’s rookie totals of 74 receptions for 935 yards and five touchdowns.
Lamb played his college football at Oklahoma, where he starred for the Sooners for three seasons. In his three year collegiate career, Lamb caught 173 passes for 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also had one rushing touchdown in 2019. The Cowboys drafted Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft, selecting him 17th overall to give Prescott another weapon beside Cooper.
The Cowboys are currently 5-1 on the season and sit at the top of the NFC East. Dallas takes on the Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday Night Football this weekend. The team could possibly be without Dak Prescott, although he is trying his best to be ready for the game.
