Angel Reese has a new boyfriend, as she is dating Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. On Monday, Carter appeared on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back, and former NBA star Chandler Parsons asked him if he was dating Reese.

“That’s the homie for sure, we locked in,” Wendell Carter Jr. said, via Anna Lazarus Caplan of PEOPLE. Carter smiled and laughed when he seemingly confirmed the relationship, and added, “Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out. We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”

One day later, Reese approved Carter’s announcement, writing, “Period homie,” on X/Twitter. Reese and Carter have been linked together since May, after Carter was seen at Reese’s birthday party. In July, Carter was spotted at the WNBA All-Star Game, where he wore a shirt with Reese’s picture on it. Additionally, Reese has shown support for Carter by wearing Magic gear on Instagram.

Carter’s announcement came after Reese made a big move off the court. In October, the former LSU star walked down the runway in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. In an interview with Vogue, Reese said she always wanted to be part of the show.

“I have a video of me, when I was younger, dancing in Victoria’s Secret sweatpants and a hoodie,” Reese said one day before the event. “It’s a full circle moment for me.”

Reese also revealed how she prepared for the runway. Reese looked to others for inspiration.

“I watched a lot of Tyra [Banks], I watched a lot of Naomi [Campbell], I watched Adriana Lima,” Reese said. “Tyra does a nice little bounce; Naomi’s more fierce. I’m not really [emulating] the exact walk, but more of the gestures and mannerisms—small things, like a little smize.”

Reese just finished her second season in the WNBA. The 23-year-old Chicago Sky star was selected to the All-Star game for the second consecutive year after averaging 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per contest.

Carter has been with the Magic since 2021, but spent his first two and a half seasons with the Chicago Bulls. Through 15 games this year, the former Duke star has averaged 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
