ARCA fines, places Alex Clubb on probation for 'rich kids' rant

Last week, the ARCA Menards Series raced at Elko Speedway. For driver Alex Clubb, it ended with a fine and probation. Clubb finished P10, one of his best performances in his ARCA career. But he had a few things to say afterwards, that’s where he got in trouble.
Clubb has raced in the ARCA Menards Series off and on since 2015. For a lot of those races, he has competed for his own race team, Clubb Racing.
The P10 at Elko was Clubb’s best result on a non-drafting track since finishing P9 at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Still, the driver was less than pleased after the race. Clubb called out “rich kids” racing in ARCA, not a new complaint, for their lack of respect. However, a few F-bombs and other words earned him a fine and probation from the sanctioning body.
ARCA fined Alex Club $250 for the interview. He is also on probation for the rest of the season. Clubb finished P10, 11 laps down to the leader.
Alex Clubb fined by ARCA over post-race comments
For those wondering what got Alex Clubb the fine from ARCA, it was his NSFW comments after the race. A few too many F-Bombs for ARCA’s liking.
“Well, we were running really good, and I’m one of those guys that we have a lot of off nights, a lot,” Clubb told Frontstretch Grassroots. “I respect everybody, I get out of their way. And I had the 11 car, which I respect, right, the girl in the 31 car [Quinn Davis], the 10 car [Tony Musolino], they just chopped me any time I was around them trying to keep me a lap down. The 31 ran me into the wall. I mean, I get that they’re young kids and they have to come in here to race, you have to have respect.

“I was completely done with it, I destroyed the nose on our f***ing race car, and the next time that the 11 [Bryce Haugeberg] or the 31 did it, they were f***ing getting junked. So, excuse my language, but I’m hot, we never run good, we were running good tonight, and we got screwed by these little rich punks who don’t give a s**t.”
Alex Clubb continued his rant. The driver also knew a fine was incoming as he spoke.
“I just cost myself $1200 by running over a f***ing idiot,” Clubb said. “So, I’m not real happy about it, I’m sure I’ll get fined for this interview. Whatever the fine is it’s completely worth it.”
For the next ARCA race, Alex Clubb has an idea of how to keep himself from getting knocked around. I’m not sure it will pass inspection, though.
“We bust our ass to be here, we’re on $100,000 budget to run 20 races, they’re all on $1,000,000 budgets. So, I’m just, you know, I’m fed up with it. We get this thing running better, I’m putting a cow catcher on it, we will not overheat again, the next time they do it, I’m going to hit them wide-open, I’m done. Done with these kids.”
